How to Embrace Your Passion | Career Success Tips

Embrace Your Passion

Embracing your passion might seem like one of the easiest things you can do. However, it actually might be a bit more difficult to do than you would think. To embrace your passion you have to do more than just one thing, you have to actually find your passion as well.

Finding your Passion

Finding your passion is one of those things that goes hand in hand with when you embrace your passion. The biggest difference is, you might not know what you are truly passionate about. Well, luckily you already have all the answers to that. To actually find your passion, you have to ask yourself this: What is the one thing I can do for countless hours, and not realize time even passed? That, is the thing you are most passionate about.

With all of the stresses in life, and the speed bumps that we encounter we have to have that way of staying sane. That one way is your passions. Embrace your passion and from there it will take over and do the rest of the work. Regardless of how things end up, by doing the things that you are passionate about you find happiness. Once you have found it, you never let go.

Make a Career out of Your Passion

This is where things get tricky. I’ve always felt that there is a way to make a career out of anything. The same goes for making money. However, things just don’t happen overnight, you have to be patient and build. Starting off with the foundation that you are so passionate about this one activity or topic, gives you an upper hand. We see far too often when people let themselves fall into a job or a career in which they are miserable (Just look at people’s faces on the way to work in the mornings).

You have the opportunity to make something better out of your life, give yourself the opportunity to be happy and do something you love. Oh, and making a living is a nice perk as well. But in the end, if you are going to do this you have to keep a few things in mind:

  1. It will take Time: Everything great in life does indeed take time, when you are making a career out of nothing, you have to understand and let it build rather than being antsy.
  2. You have to Invest: Invest in your Craft, otherwise no one else will. If you are truly serious about making things happen, you do have to be willing to put in some money to make it happen.
  3. Patience Patience Patience: Always be patient. Otherwise things just run out of control, and you will be overwhelmed. Patience is the biggest key.

Never let ANYONE Hold you Back

Some relationships can be extremely toxic, and those will try and hold you from pursing your dreams and doing the things you are passionate about. Never let anyone hold you back. Embrace your passion, and do the things that others said you couldn’t. Life in the end, is about proving not only to yourself, but to others that being different, and having a different mindset is the best thing. How I feel is that, if someone is trying to threaten your dreams and passions, they don’t deserve to be a part of your life.

Individuality goes hand in hand with this concept as well. Regardless, you just have to be yourself, and from there everything falls where it needs to. Passions are that one thing which help define who you are as a person, and losing those for any person is extremely harmful to your sanity.

Forget Fear

Fear, when it comes to trying to embrace your passion, is a huge catalyst that holds us back. Going along with the previous thought, we cannot let anyone or anything hold us back. Fear like limits is something that is self made, you create them and you can equally destroy them. Yes, its a difficult thing to actually figure out, but that goes along with the being patient aspect.

Fear should never be that one thing which holds you back from accomplishing your dreams or pursuing your passion. It should be a thing that you know is there, and you extinguish whenever it tries to show its face.

Its all About Mind Games

Our minds give us a big disadvantage in life, but they also are the most powerful tool that we have been given. Pursing your passion gives you the ability to understand that more than half of the battle, is an internal one. Yes, there will be many different things that we come upon which are difficult physically, but your mental health and sanity are the two which take the biggest hits. You have to start within yourself, and know that no matter how big or small the task, you can annihilate it.

Never stop yourself from embracing your passion. Life is about making everything count and never holding yourself back. If there is a way to make a career out of your passion, wouldn’t you do it?

  1. You are a very wise young man. I remember when I was young my mother smoked as long as I had knew her to this point. All I heard as I was getting into teen years if I catch you smoking , drinking or cussing I will beat you to the floor and beat you some more. This with a cigarette hanging from her fingers. So of course I want to be in someone’s group since we had move from the progressive northern state to the southern Delta. Because I said you guys instead of ya’llkn17@hotmail.com and my first friend was a Black girl I was an automatic outcast.
At that time in the 60s kids were allowed to smoke in school bathrooms smoke boiling out of the windows like the building was on fire.

I took up smoking to be cool if can just imagine how stupid I looked.

Well had my two kids and a step daughter the age on my youngest. Tell oldest was turning 13. I thought about it and I thought how am I going to tell them not to smoke if I am ? I will be just as successful as she was.

So I bought the nicotine gum and started learning Crochet and knitting. And I would walk around with a rubber band and put it on my index finger on each hand and it kept my hands busy. It wasn’t easy after generations and I let the kids in on how hard it was and as it got easier I shared that and I also told them how fresh my clothes smelled and how I would never have dated someone that smoked if I knew how it stinks . Your hair smells like a ashtray.

Everytime my kids left the house when they came home I would hug them Amd put my super nose into their hair . My birth kids never smoked but my step daughter under the influence of her no account jail bird mother let her do it when she visited . Made me sick. Well kids grew up and I am still trying to teach by example. I cussed like a sailor as a young woman and a few years ago I was saved and baptised and I am trying to bring God to the and keep my life on the right path. We as parents have to take the right path put a mirror to our faces and see our dirt to protect our kids. Loved you article.
    Bless you,

  2. Nice topic! I think it’s very important to work on whatever craft you’re passionate about. It isn’t an over night thing but as long as you love it, it is all worth while.
