Its the Little Things | Tips for an Easier Week

Sometimes, the most unexpected and little things are what make your life spectacularly easier. I’ll try to share what I’ve been learning, based on my mistakes and failures in motherhood.

First of all, wake up before the rest your family does. Is it silly? Not at all. You won’t be more tired (than you already are) for waking up thirteen minutes earlier. Get everything ready for your kids (school, breakfast, clothes) so that they just have to open their eyes, and before they know what has happened, they are standing in the yard waiting for the bus. Maybe you will need some extra coffee, but you will find out how awesome the small difference is. Coffee is definitely my best friend by now.

Second. Plan, plan, plan, plan. More? Plan, plan plan. Menus throughout the week, get everything ready, no more “what am I going to cook today… I missed that…. I don’t know….” while your children run around you and you go crazy. Don’t waste your time anymore.  Have it all under control. That is the biggest win you can do for yourself and the week.

“Fun packs” or “something your child can play with while you need to do something out of the house. There’s a lot of things you would have never thought about, that your child will enjoy playing with at a restaurant or while you’re at the bank. Like, two little boxes, some beans and a spoon. Ridiculously easy right? I encourage you to get into Pinterest and look for some of the amazing ideas that are showcased there.

Music, Music and maybe even some more Music!! Since my daughter was born, I’ve been doing a playlist with hundreds of videos, tunes, lyrics that she loves and teach her a lot of things. The ABC’s, numbers,… they love it, dance with them, make them learn the lyrics and just have fun! They will learn a lot that way.

And… enough for today. Just, take the reins and make your life easier. You deserve it.

Mar Watercolor

My work and soul are focused on visceral effort.
On the hunger of something better.
The freedom of discipline.
The righteousness of honesty and humbleness.
The intense power of bowing down.
The abruptness of finding your way to a safe place.
The peace when you finally find it.

That’s why I work on motivation, inner inspiration and self-empowerment.
