Money Vs Experiences, Which is the Better Choice?

Something that has always been talked about is the difference between having a bunch of money, and having a bunch of experiences. The battle of Money vs Experiences will always rage on. Generally they would tie hand in hand. However, if you truly think about it, which is more important?

Money does not equal happiness as some may find. Especially in today’s world, you will find more and more “rich” people suffering from a number of mental disorders (Depression, Anxiety, and many commit suicide). Can you buy happiness with money? I don’t think you can, you can give yourself a false sense of happiness, but not be ultimately happy because of money. Money is something that can come and go, it is not guaranteed. One day you may be a millionaire, the next you may be struggling to make that car payment. The world is driven on money, how can it relate to happiness if money is all that matters?Experiences in Life.jpg

But it takes money for having experiences. Not necessarily, money can buy traveling to tourist spots around the world, which those places are significantly inflated in prices due to people wanting to travel to a major tourist area in the world. I live in Florida for instance, with all the glory of Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, and Miami and beaches and all of the famous tourist things in the state.

The cost of living is extremely high, and essentially, the only people who can afford the rising cost of living are the wealthy, and the retired. My Girlfriend and I are neither of those. But since we live in a place where there are attractions that people want to go, the cost is higher. You have to travel outside the beaten path, the places that are worth discovering you won’t read about on the internet, or see on tv. Discovering is cheap if you let it be; outside the norm is the actual place to be.

Ultimately, the goal is to “Live the Life you Dream OF”. If you can’t have the experiences that you want, then make your own. You do not have to be ultra rich to have a rich life. Again, you have to choose which will prevail in the battle of money vs experiences.

Being rich or wealthy does not have to always do with money. Rich in culture, wealthy in experiences. The life you want to live is waiting for you to live it. You have to decide it is what you want; your dreams are never too late to achieve. We all have our goals that we want to accomplish in life, you have to wake up and go for it. Life should be filled with a million experiences, each and every day there is something new to experience. Experience the glory of life, and make sure you accomplish your dreams.

Money vs experiences, which is the winner here?

  1. yes, this is an interesting one and sonething that plagues my mind as I get older, should I save for old age or just keep working and rolling.

  2. Is the real question amount of money vs quality of experience? Not just “money” vs “experience”. Surely need to quantify both…?

  3. Watching the setting sun, lighting a campfire and camping in the great outdoors after an all day hike is not something you can buy, it’s something you experience. We love experiences!! Especially Florida backwoods, deep in the forest spots! Great article!
