Starting a Business | Advice for the Aspiring Entrepreneur

Business is hard. So Is keeping yourself motivated.

But the biggest thing that happens when you go into business, is knowing what to expect.

Let me make this easy for you.

You never know what to expect.

So you can stop reading now, or keep reading and get inspired.

Maintaining Motivation Through the Tough Times

Business always will be hard to get into, but there is never a set in stone thing to expect.

You always will get to that point of not knowing what to do, not knowing whether to keep going or not.

The simple fact will always be, keep moving. Keep doing it. Don’t quit, if you quit you never will be a winner and come out on top. I always hear so many people complaining about things that are going on in their lives, but never people just hustling. Never stop the hustle, if that takes working 14 hour days until you forget what sleep is, then do it. That is also the thing that you have to work a regular job, then bust your butt and hone your side hustle until it is your main hustle.

Clear, Set Mindset toward Success

I’ve seen both sides of things more often than not. I’ve been at the point of breaking, where I don’t want to keep going, but I never stop. No matter what, no matter how much it kills me I never quit. Why? The Process.

Success always will be something that we find very relative to our mindset. But unless we have the mindset that we need to be a winner, you won’t get anywhere. Rather than sitting there and saying that you want to be a millionaire in 3 years, work on the next 10 or 20.

Don’t be in things for the short game. If you do, no matter what happens you will fail. There won’t come a time where you will just start a side business, and become the next Facebook or Instagram or Snapchat. Uber came out of nowhere (Seemingly) but it took work.

Have the mindset of putting in the work to get to what you want, working towards the long goal, rather than short term aesthetic ones.

Strong Communication Skills

One of the most often overlooked thing when you are going into business is your ability to communicate. Communication is the one thing that you must have to: Generate Sales, Network your Brand, Learn from Others, and Pitch.

Unfortunately there aren’t many resources that you can use going into things to help you get ahead in that department. Mostly what you have to do is through trial and error. But that is what business is all about.

We all go through it.

But lets just think about this for a second, we have to be able to effectively communicate with others for and through our business. One of the best things that I’ve found recently is this: Methods for Becoming a Great Communicator. Where this might just seem simple, it is a very powerful way to get your mind going in the right direction.

What Entrepreneur’s Expect in Business

Entrepreneurs aren’t the same as the glorified image that social media gives us. You see these people posting pictures of all this stuff that they have accomplished, or all this money, or cars etc. But all that is BS. Most of those people won’t win in life. They will put on a show, and make people think they are doing awesome, when in reality they are in the same boat. Wanting attention and talking a big game doesn’t mean they are going to hustle.

I want everyone that reads this to understand, it isn’t easy to start a business or be an entrepreneur. You will shed blood, sweat, and tears during the whole ride. But this game isn’t about the final destination, it is about the ride getting to your end game. Think about it, Gary V is a huge inspiration when it comes to “The Process” but that is where it starts.

Unfortunately, it isn’t common to actually be a success in business. But I can tell you this, if you are willing to put in the work and give your all, you will be well on your way towards what you want to accomplish. Your process and end goal is going to be different than mine, and anyone else’s, but you know what that is, so go for it. Go get it, start. Don’t wait for things to come to you, because no one owes you anything, so you will create what you deserve. And if you don’t put in the work, you don’t deserve anything.
